Crusaders, thank you for all the love you've sent my way. So many beautiful, thoughtful comments. You've really touched my heart. I admit I was giving some consideration to retiring this blog, but came to realize it was something I couldn't let go of, and then you validated that with your generous words. I truly appreciate that you have reached out to me, and proved that this is bigger than any of us. You make this address into a community. You make this worthwhile. You challenge ME to stay plugged in. Thank you.
I have gotten behind on my self-imposed deadlines because of some real-life ones, but I am nearly ready with No. 31. Check back Tuesday. Thanks for hanging in.
ENJOY YOUR MOTHER'S DAY.

Thanks so much Michelle. I've only been playing since earlier this year, but I have gained SO MUCH from your tutorials & the posts of sister-crusaders.
Bless you!

Self imposed deadlines and "rules" about my own freekin blogging is what has lead me to need a blog break! But how can I keep away? I still don't know... :-)

Ohhh please continue - I so love your crusaders and look regularly but deadlines and other things just kept me from participating. I'll get better, I promise ;)

See you Tuesday... Happy Mothers' Day Michelle! xoxoxo

Love ya, sweetie! Don't worry about deadlines. We will be here when you get your other deadlines done. You know, we are all living in a much faster world and I feel those same deadlines circling me and then I decide it will all get done when it gets done and I meet the deadlines without realizing how I got there. You are a very very special gal and don't forget it. Happy Mother's Day to you....

Yes, please. please keep the Crusades going! I joined in January '09 and have loved every wonderful minute: I've learned so much and I've met the nicest people, I do understand about deadlines, but as someone else said: we'll be here-waiting anxiously for the next Crusade.
Happy Mother's Day!

Please do whatever you need to do to simplify the crusades enough to keep doing them. I've only just found them! I think this may be the best challenge site on the web. Late is ok. We all understand being late. I'm sure we all understand that other things come up sometimes, too. Don't let it stress you out. We can wait.

Thanks Michelle! You inspire us with all your challenges, and even though I don't get to participate very often, I truly appreciate all you do to encourage other artists. Hope your mother's day was extra special!

Michelle, I'm glad that you've decided to continue the challenges and all that comes with them...inspiration, tutorials, shared work. I know it must be an enormous job...I can barely get two blog articles posted in the same month...prizes, schmizes. It is you and this community we show up for.

Please stay. I can't imagine my life without you. I look forward to every post, every ounce of inspiration. I know it is selfish, but WE NEED YOU! :)

Hi, Michelle. Maybe instead of making a hard and fast rule about the schedule, you could just announce on here and on your blog that there's a new challenge up. That way it could start whenever, last two months, 11 weeks, 4 days, and then there could even be a break between--whatever works with your schedule. You always have a much more intimate hand's-on approach with this than you would with any giveaway or contest or other interactive project, so when you have to put so much of yourself into this, it behooves all of us to have a flexible schedule. Just my opinion.
You have the utmost of our respect and if we want the goodies of your site, we will come along for your ride!
I hope your weekend was great.

I'm so happy that you are staying plugged in! You are an inspiration to so many of us. I know the work that is involved with coming up with the ideas and designing the prompts, but I also know how gratifying it is to use your creativity and then be a part of the sharing/connecting. I'm finding that my self imposed deadlines are helpful for getting things done. There are times when I give myself a break and know that I'm making things up...perhaps its time to make up some new rules! A wise woman once said, "Make it your own!" LOL.
I love how you are encouraging us to get creative. You are giving us all permission to be inspired but to then take it to the next step. I think we all desire to be authentic. Some lack the confidence to trust our ability to create. Thanks for not preaching but setting a great example. Your lighting the creative spark all over the world!
Keep up the great work!
{soul hugs}

Hi Michelle- Back when you originally posted Crusade #31 I read about it on Deryn Mentock's Something Sublime blog. It is a message that I firmly believe in and one that I have come back to frequently to read and internalize. I think you have a lovely blog world and I think the ideas of the crusades are so great. At the end of each of my blog posts I put a "Check It Out" where I list a blog or website that inspires me and I hope my readers will follow it and find out why. Today, I have chosen your post on Make It Your Own. I am participating in a bracelet round robin with 4 other artists and we are certainly "making it our own"...great tie in. Check it out here: http://treasures-found.blogspot.com/2009/06/journey-with-me.html
Enjoy the day!
Erin
P.S. I tried to email, but I don't use Outlook anymore so it wouldn't let me pull your email address off!
