Thanks for coming back! And thanks to all who came to play last month. I admit I was a little bummed we didn't get up to 40 players. I know we have over 500 people who subscribe to this blog - come out from lurking and play with us! The whole point here is to learn from one another as we take on creative challenges together! We are a friendly group, and new players are joining each month. Come on - be brave! I hate to think I will stop doing this just because of low participation. I KNOW YOU ARE OUT THERE.
So here is an easy way to make a journal page. GRIDS. You can divide up your page and fill with scraps from your work table. You can choose to write in each segment. You can pull out those monoprints from April and clip out your prized portions. Or you can do what I call *Me First Journaling* - where you cut and paste clippings from new finds, or favorites from your stash, saving a little bit for yourself in your journal, thereby freeing you to use the rest for something else. Helps to be less pack-ratty :)
Super easy assignment. I promise you will enjoy it. Maybe you've already been making grids in your journal - terrific! Just make a new post about it and share the link with us below.
For new players: there is no official place to sign up (I get asked that all the time). All you have to do is make a post to your blog or photohosting site and then come back here and leave a comment with a link to your site. I will place the links in the sidebar under Crusade No. 41, newest is always at the top. Come back often to check the link list so you can click over to visit other players and leave your words of encouragement. If you aren't quite sure how it's done then just try clicking on any link under any crusade and you will see how artists blog about being on the team. You are not obligated to play in every challenge - just those that you are interested in. Come on, be brave!
EDIT: Archived links moved from sidebar to here.

This is a great crusade! I have the habit of just starting somewhere and see what happens, but I love to have a plan. Had to look up in Google what packratty means, always learning something new.

I have been guilty of lurking, am struggling to get back to the books, the work, the sewing - so I am committing publicly to doing this task I promise

Wow, Michelle, love all the grids!! The blue and orange is my very favorite! I am going to try this crusade. I actually have done a grid type scrapbook page.

We spent most of last month in Italy - and had a great time - but it meant no time for artplay. And in fact, for a couple of months prior, while I was getting the pieces ready to exhibit in Italy. But we're back, the exhibition is over, and I am ready to play. In fact I suspect I *need* some play time. Thanks for the inspiration Michelle.

Grid Luck. hehe
I am so THERE, baby!!
of course, right now, we're having router problems so i'll be out of commission this weekend I think, but after that... WATCH OUT!
I guess I'll go to the studio and 'Grid myself' for being off the computer for two days...
ahhahahAAHA! see what I did? instead of gird?

Hello Michelle,
reading about the crusade here again ( after reading and commenting on your blog) I thought I LOVE to work in grids and use it often for my blog !
Most of my photos are presented in grids and my last blogpost about "MOOminicards" shows the working in a grid even more...
Not an official entry, but maybe this counts already a bit before I make an official crusadeblogpost...
Feel free to pass by here :

I justed posted my grid on my blog. It was so nice to work on them.I will try to make some more.
I just wondered if there is something wrong with the list of participants, because I see so little names on the left, while there are so many comments here with mentionings of postings.

Helen - thanks for the heads up! Typepad lists default to 10 links - I forgot to reset to a higher number. Fixed now. 25 links to visit so far!

I want to play, I really do! But I'm hopelessly overcommitted as usual. But I love your grids and the brilliant way you measured the tricky one out. This is definitely something to revisit when I finally have free time again.
