Oooh, I love this Crusade. But boy am I running behind -- I still haven't got round all last month's links and left comments on all them. I love seeing what everyone else has done, and hate missing any. Still, plenty of weekend left for checking them all out :-)

Brigitte

Another wonderful Crusade, can't wait to start tearing ;-) I think I visited most of the blogs, I noticed once the Crusade is done you sort the blogs alphabetically ... And then I am lost and don't know which ones I visited and which not LOL But I will check them again, it's fun to see others work and I really really appreciate all the wonderful comments I received on my blog !

Effie

I've only just come across these crusades...........number 42.. isn't that the answer to everything?.. maybe it's sign I should get my act together and join in! Tearing paper, scarey for a neat freak! going to get out of my box and give it a go!

Zura

I just bought a poster/wall chart thing at a garage sale today that will perrrrfect for ripping! This is my kind of assignment, messy girl that I am!

Cath

That was such fun - just what I needed on a cold Sunday. Thanks Michelle! http://cathsheard.wordpress.com/2010/07/04/crusade-42-strip-ease/

I created two page spreads last night while suffering through bottle rockets hitting the roof of my house and my dog whining and barking at the cacophany of noise... warning, these pages are not HAPPY pages ;)

Phew ... I finally got round the rest of last month's entries. It is so worth taking the time to do this, and leave comments, because there is just so much inspiration to be enjoyed. I feel artistically renewed by seeing everyone's creativity poured out in their blogs. What a joy! I'd like to say a huge thanks to all who participate and you, Michelle, for inspiring us all to do so.

iHanna

This was fun fun fun! I think I am in love with my new art journal already! :-)

XOXOX!

Chris

what a great idea. your previous challenge had me drooling, but I didn't get it done. Now, I've signed up in the Sketchbook Project, and the theme I selected was: Lines and Grids. Because I LOVE them! And now, you have a strip challenge! You know I love to strip!

?what

I will be linking to a Flickr acct now, since my blog is suspended, so I hope people will feel just as comfortable to get a Flickr account and to comment. Those are always cool.

which reminds me: off to look at the crusaders!

JeriAnn

I love ripped edges and use them constantly. This is such a great idea, Michelle! How about this variation? Take a paint brush and dip it into plain water and paint a line. While it's still wet, rip.

Thanks Michelle for another great crusade idea. This was certainly a good way to use up some of those pesky larger scraps that I was getting sick of the sight of.

I've ripped strips! I actually use this technique, in my paintings, all the time. I love it. So, I was very happy to play along. Please stop by and visit to see what I did at

I loved this challenge. Even if it did kind of happen by accident. Thanks for the idea of using strips of paper for backgrounds. You can see it on my blog.

I love seeing what everyone else has been doing too.

Yesterday I made a journal that I covered with natural fiber. . . shelf-liner! Wonderfully affordable at $5 a roll (12 inches x 5 feet) at The Container Store. But when I had cleverly covered both the inside and outside of the covers, I realized I'd have trouble telling up from down and front from back. Torn paper strips to the rescue! I wove some torn strips from a previous project where I'd used colored inks. Some were cut, some torn, and the result is here: http://wp.me/p2H1i-1cJ Thanks so much for doing this! I'm spending WAAAAAY too much time reading here and not working!

Kate Robertson

This has been a fun Crusade. I am glad I started earlier so I could do more than one page. Mine is posted here http://thequeenofcreativity.blogspot.com/2010/07/gpp-street-team-42-strip-ease.html
