While we are talking about things we love for Crusade No. 60, I have to declare my love for cardboard. I got to thinking about it the other day when I saw this dumpster outside the pizza place we go to every Friday. I must see it every week but for some reason it got my attention - Cardboard Only. I was so tempted to poke my head in to see what might be in there. I wasn't interested in the pizza boxes, I wanted to see if there were those divider things you get in a case of soda or beer. I love the circle indents - they make great pages.
EDIT: I forgot to include the last spread...now I have to finish the back cover and add some type of closure device.
I've started a new photo album - see sidebar on right - for my cardboard page journals.
I {heart} cardboard!

Michelle-
Stunning....I love cardboard as well, have been hoarding for years, waiting for the right project. When I first started going up to Grand Marais a place called the Angry Trout used cardboard for the fronts and back of their menus, got me to thinking about using it for the fronts and backs of my journals, but the inside?
Thanks as always for the inspiration!
Until later,
Judy

Awesome! I love ripping off an outer layer and using the corrugations as a stamp. Mainly because I love stripes :)
Got stuff to photograph for Crusade 60, just need to get it captured and posted!

I don't "get" the cardboard thing but love your pages! I want mine to be flat and smooth, and almost never add anything bulky. But we are all different, and it's a joy to read about how much you love that material!

So much eye candy.
I must admit, I don't quite know what you mean about the rings from soda cans. Do you mean the plastic thingies I cut open so they don't choke animals? I will send you many. Or the indentions from cans that are left on cardboard? I thought I'd ask that here to make my comment longer.
But I have to say that my very first two hand-made journals were made from cardboard. I love cardboard and I have recently been inspired by one of your posts to rip one side off and reveal the corrugations--even only part of the corrugation. So cool! I even love to stamp with the edge of a cardboard where the wavy corrugation is exposed. Because I can't be using only rubber stamps all the time.
It's kind of embarrassing, but I like the smell of cardboard. I think I may have been paper pulp in another life.
These images are really cool. Thanks for sharing this journal.

oh, brother. It's me again. I was thinking of pizza boxes, and had to add that I love those (often white) little support thingies that they put in the middle of a large pizza when it's packed, so that the box can't get touch the top of the pizza. You know, it's round and plastic and has three legs? Those things are awesome to use!! Sometimes I order pizza even when I don't want any!
