Bravo to all who came to play last month!! I loved seeing how much fun you had Pulling Prints! If you haven't made use of them yet hang on - we will put them to work in a future crusade. This month I am posting an easy challenge so we can get maximum participation to celebrate our 40th!
Don't you love the surprise of finding a usual item in an unusual size? I can't resist scooping up a favorite thing when I discover it in a miniature or jumbo size. Since the Roman Numeral for 40 is XL (as in extra large!) I thought it would be a perfect time to experiment with sizes. I have always been a cheerleader for using multiple sizes of stamps or stencils, this time I am challenging you to consider the size of your SURFACE.
Usually when I stray from my default or comfort zone size I will go big, like to canvas. Recently, I started going smaller, like in this mini journal. How about trying on a new size? Alter the scale of your work.
There are several ways to approach it - all of them are valuable lessons in scale and composition.
You can choose any of these ideas, or come up with one of your own. Scale it up to XL or scale it down to XS. Maybe you've already tried on a new size - great! Make a post about your discoveries on your blog or site then come back here and leave a link below in the comments section. I will add to the link list in the left sidebar, newest at top. Please visit often to see the newly added links and visit the other crusaders who share their work (don't forget to leave your words of encouragement!)
EDIT: Archived links moved from sidebar to here.
