A common question of first-time customers of unmounted stamps is Now What? It's not a silly question, and there are lots of answers. Many artists choose to leave their stamps unmounted as it means less room required for storage. They might invest in a series of acrylic blocks to temporarily mount the rubber. I prefer to have my stamps ready-to-use and have been adhering the images to thick foam, like you would find in the gardening section of a retail store, for kneeling. Here's what that looks like:
